5th Annual SWEAT for Pets: Walk, Run & Roll

Join the Humane Society of Southern Arizona's 5th annual SWEAT FOR PETS: Walk, Run & Roll on Saturday November 16th at a NEW LOCATION this year- the North Kino Sports Complex! Whether you build a team, or walk alone...all proceeds from this 5k walk/run will save the lives of homeless animals in YOUR community- Last year we hosted over 750 participants and 400 dogs and for the first time in SWEAT history, we’ll have a BEER GARDEN for you to enjoy!

Hand in Paw Kid’s Club Learning Series – November 2019

The Hand in Paw Kid’s club is taking a step in a new direction!

Join us as we delve deep in to topics relating to animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. This series is designed to create a building learning experience over the course of 3 weeks.

Topics for this series will include animal behavior and animal safety, proper animal care, appropriate medical care, overpopulation, spaying and neutering, and preparing our participants to care for their furry best friend for a lifetime!

The cost of this series is a flat rate of $45. Participants are encouraged to attend all three weeks to receive the full benefit of this educational opportunity.

Join us for an amazing lunch at the DoubleTree Hilton - Reid Park (445 S Alvernon Way) while you enjoy listening to Garth Stein discuss his book 'The Art of Racing in the Rain'. Registration begins at 11am and the program is from 12-1:30pm. After lunch follow us over to a very exclusive event at Wayne's Toys - Tucson Classic Car Museum (990 S Cherry Ave). At this VIP event you will have your photo taken with Garth Stein and receive an autographed book. While you mingle you can enjoy a selection of beers and wines along with hors d'oeuvres provided by Iron Chef Tucson 2019 winner, Chef Wendy. The VIP event is a 21+ only.

Ann Marie Hoff, artist, pet communicator, and intuitive medium, hosts a presentation on such topics as: what pets teach us (about life, death and reincarnation), the spiritual purpose of pets, and the differences between cat and dog energies in both animals and people, among others. Sure to be an exciting and interesting night!

Applause for Paws

The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is partnering with the O Comedy Lounge to bring you a night of laughs. The evening will be hosted by the fabulous Miss Nature and featuring Sarah Kennedy & Autumn Horvat; two local comedians who will make your paws giggle! Cocktail hour is at 6:30pm with adoptable dogs on the patio and show will start at 8pm.
