HSSA Thrift Store and donations center is officially OPEN at it's new forever home located at 1010 S. Wilmot Rd., just north of 22nd St. 

Come in and see us! You'll be blown away by the massive new space and all the amazing thrift finds.

Hours of Operation

Store Hours: 

Monday - CLOSED

Tuesday - Saturday: 10 AM - 6 PM

Sunday: 12PM - 5 PM

 

Adoptable Dogs - SDOT

Tuesday, Friday, Saturday: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Donations we are unable to accept

To maximize our contribution to the shelter's budget, we respectfully ask that all items donated are in good, functional condition. We do reserve the right to refuse items that are deemed inappropriate for resale or included on our list of unacceptable items (see below).

  • Any non-working appliances

  • Console televisions and stereo cabinets

  • Kitchen, bathroom cabinets

  • Toilets, sinks, vanities

  • Construction materials (lumber, sheet rock, cement, insulation)

  • Outdated computers, dot matrix printers (older than 5 years)

  • Outdated electronics

  • Large microwaves (small and under the counter only)

  • Empty food jars

  • Car seats

  • Flammable items

  • Medical supplies

  • Furniture in need of repair

  • Waterbeds

  • Swing sets

  • Empty pill bottles

  • Pet medication

  • Hazardous waste such as paint and varnish

  • Used bed pillows

  • Household cleaners (unless new and never opened)

  • Household trash & garbage

  • Copy machines

  • Carpeting and padding

  • Opened cosmetics (excluding perfumes)

  • Encyclopedias

  • Scrap iron

  • Tires and tire rims (hubcaps are OK)

  • Wall heaters

  • Water heaters
