The Humane Society of Southern Arizona is proud to present the SPEEK Adult Lecture Series. The SPEEK program provides fun and educational topics to further relationships between animals and the people who love them!

SPEEK! events are held the first Thursday of each month, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The price per SPEEK series is $10 unless otherwise noted.

How Citizens Can Most Effectively Lobby the Legislature
Thursday, September 3rd, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm
Join HSSA’s CEO, Steve Farley, for an educational evening on how everyday citizens (such as yourself!), can effectively communicate and lobby the legislature, which is applicable to animal laws as well as other areas of activism. Your voice CAN be heard!

Trap, Neuter, and Return (TNR): The Forgotten Cats
Thursday, October 1st, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm
HSSA Staff Member, guardian of an amazing Pet VIP Therapy cat, and TNR enthusiast, Clara Lee Arnold will present information on TNR: Trap, Neuter, and Return and community cats. Learn how it helps the cats in our community and many others! Resources will be provided.

Animal Cruelty: Safe Reporting and What to Look For
Thursday, November 5th, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm
Animal Cruelty Investigator, Mike Duffey, will present information on what to look for when reporting cruelty, the current laws surrounding pets, and how to help animals that may be the victims of crimes.
