New home. New hope.

Our new campus is truly designed to fit our humane philosophy. HSSA is here for pets and the people who love them, and with this new home, we will be able to accomplish so much more for our community. We have raised seven million dollars, and you can help us get to the $10,000,000 we need by donating now.

Help us build our new campus.

Give Them a Home, and They'll Give You Their Hearts

Our Featured Pets Are Something Special!

Not all homeless pets live in the shelter. These two cats are part of our Almost Home Program. That means that they will live in a foster home until the right adopters are able to give them the forever home they deserve. Contact HSSA Main Campus to coordinate a meet and greet today!

How You Can Help

Court Mandated Animal Cruelty Education Class – November 18, 2017 @ Humane Society of Southern Arizona
Nov 18 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

The Animal Cruelty Education Program is a cooperative effort between The Humane Society of Southern Arizona and member organizations with the Animal Cruelty Taskforce of Southern Arizona. The program’s purpose is to provide adults with the educational background, access to services and day-to-day skills needed to make them better pet owners.

Participants in the program have all received citations or have been adjudicated of violations relating to the care and treatment of their or other animals, or have been referred to the program by the Pima County Justice Courts, Tucson City Courts, behavioral health care providers or other agencies. The program, however is not a court of law concerned with the determination of guilt or innocence, but an opportunity to learn the needs and problems confronting the animals which share our homes and lives.

The 90-minute educational class is from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. All participants must be registered two days before their class attendance. The $75 class fee is non-refundable upon registration for the class. Upon payment and attendance of the scheduled class, participants will receive a certificate of completion to present to the prosecutor. To register or make a payment over the phone please call (520) 321-3704, ext. 142.
