It was as if Darling aged backwards right before our eyes

Darling came to HSSA with a group of 15 other dogs that were a part of a hoarding situation. They were kept in metal cages and terrified of people. Darling was in the worst physical state but also the most friendly and open with our staff. Watch her video to see exactly what the Second Chance Medical Unit does for pets like Darling.

Who would go the extra mile for Quinn?

After examination we found Quinn was suffering from an untreated brain infection that gave her permanent vertigo and partial deafness and blindness. The Second Chance Medical Fund was there for Quinn when she needed it most. See her silly little walk and learn what your donation means for cats like Quinn when you watch our Tail-a-thon program.

How well do you know HSSA?

Let us share with you a few fun facts about the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Did you know that we are NOT government funded and do no receive any funding from national organizations? That's right - we are not affiliated with Pima Animal Care Center though we do help transfer pets into our care from PACC when they are in need.

What does this mean? It means that your donations made to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona stay in Tucson and help over 5,000 pets a year that wouldn't have otherwise been given a second chance.

HSSA Behavior Team saves lives

At the Humane Society of Southern Arizona we know that behavioral training and guidance saves lives. Pets that have trouble with certain social skills or show displays of anxiety need extra care before finding their forever families. We are there for them every step of the way and make sure they receive the love and care they deserve. Watch our video to learn more and please give now.
