Be a lifeline for a pet in need.

We're in the thick of summer and HSSA pets need your help! Despite the heat and the pandemic, HSSA hasn't missed a beat when it comes to caring for homeless pets in need.

This summer, help us raise the funds needed to continue our level of compassionate care. One lucky donor will be randomly selected on August 25th to receive a staycation!

One lucky donor will be randomly selected on August 25th to receive a staycation visit to the Hilton El Conquistador Tucson, a local pet-friendly resort that invites you and your pets to enjoy their clean and serene facilities. The prize, a $500 Hilton Honors gift card, gives you maximum flexibility to book at the Hilton El Conquistador or any Hilton property. A bunny named Pip

Pip is only 3 years old but had a very anxious and stressful past. He came to HSSA with self-inflicted wounds all over his body. HSSA's medical staff knows that this is a common behavior in rabbits that are very anxious or living in a stressful environment.

We knew just what to do to help sweet Pip and we're happy to report that he is healing beautifully. He is such a friendly rabbit who will groom his favorite HSSA staff when we snuggle with him. He is on the road to recovery and we couldn't have done it without your contributions to our organization. GIVE NOW and you'll support Pip and his friends this summer.

Bugsy was in a lot of pain

Bugsy is a 3 year old boy who was surrender to HSSA when his owners were unable to care for him any longer. He was in serious pain when he walked through our doors and may have never seen a veterinarian. He suffers from severe skin allergies and needed to be evaluated by the Shelter Medical team right away.

He was given soothing baths and medications as well as wraps and treatment for his open wounds. He is currently healing in HSSA's Second Chance Medical Unit. He is delightful and very friendly despite being uncomfortable for likely most of his life. Your donation to the Summer Rescue fund helps Bugsy and the next pet in need - GIVE NOW.

Suede recovered beautifully thanks to donors like you

Three month old Suede was found by a Good Samaritan and it terrible condition. She was small and with a clearly injured mouth. Upon examination our shelter medical team found that her lip had degloved from her jaw and she needed surgery to repair the injury.

Our team went to work providing her with the medications, anesthesia, sutures and warm snuggles while she recovered. After a few weeks she had recovered and you won't believe what she looks like now!

Yogurt's transformation

When Yogurt came to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, he didn't know what to make of us. He was gentle, wiggly, and friendly with strangers, but it was clear he was a little nervous to be in such a new place.

But thanks to the kind hands of HSSA staff and volunteers, Yogurt is SO much more confident than he was, and is now a really outgoing boy! He'll greet strangers with his wiggling butt (he doesn't have much of a tail) and loves seeking attention from anyone he can find. GIVE NOW and we'll continue to fight for every pet in their time of need!
